As you’ve probably heard, Disney Springs in Walt Disney World is beginning a “phased reopening” on May 20th! More information keeps coming in, but for now, here is a newer list of everything you need to know about Disney Springs’ reopening!
Disney Owned Stores and Restaurants Reopening
When Disney Springs first reopens, only third party locations will reopen. But, on May 27th, three Disney owned and operated places will reopen. These places are World of Disney, the Marketplace Co-op, and D -Luxe Burger’s mobile order.
New Social Distancing Rules
Even though Disney Springs is reopening, we still have to keep a safe distance from other groups. That means we have to follow new social distancing rules Disney is now applying to every guest’s visit. Disney Parks Blog has a whole article on these rules, but I will sum it up for you.
Every guest that visits Disney Springs will have to get their temperature checked before they enter. If their temperature is above 100.4 degrees, they will not be allowed to enter, and neither will anyone in their group. All guests 3 years and older will also have to wear face masks at all times, with the exception of when they’re eating. Disney will also limit the number of people on the property at a time, so it will be easier to social distance.
Another thing Disney will be doing to keep guests safe is taking extra sanitization measures by increasing disinfection procedures in places with lots of people. For example, cleaning elevators, escalators, and handrails more often are some of the examples they gave on Disney Parks Blog. Extra handwashing stations will also be added to Disney Springs.
