The International Festival of the Arts is Coming Back to Epcot

Do you love the arts? Music, culinary, paintings, and animations? Last year Walt Disney World brought a new event to Epcot called the International Festival of the Arts. The event was so popular that it is coming back again this year. If you are a fan of the arts and are headed to Disney World soon (or want to plan a last minute trip), here is what you need to know about the event:

2018 Epcot International Festival of the Arts Details

The event takes place within Epcot, which means you need a ticket to Epcot in order to attend the event. Many of the activities will be available to all, but there are some seminars and activities that will require a special ticket and additional pricing.

The festival is kicking off on January 12th and runs through the February 19th. There is a lot to look forward to. Here are some of the activities that will be taking place:

Disney on Broadway Concert Series

  • 12th to the 15th of January – Kara Lindsay and Kevin Massey
  • 19th to the 22nd of January – Kara Lindsay and Kevin Massey
  • 26th to the 29th January – Kissy Simmons and Alton Fitzgerald White
  • 2nd to the 5th of February – Kissy Simmons and Alton Fitzgerald White
  • 9th to the 12th February – Ashley Brown and Josh Strickland
  • 16th to the 19th February – Ashley Brown and Josh Stickland

Dining packages for Disney on Broadway Concert Series

Combine culinary art and musical art with a Disney on Broadway Concert Series dining package. Each package includes a breakfast, lunch, or dinner from one of the restaurants listed below (3-course meal or buffet) and preferred seating at one of the concerts throughout the day.

Community Arts Showcase

Performance days and times will vary, but they will run throughout the length of the event. Some of the local talent that will be featured include Encore Cast Performing Arts, Central Florida Community Arts, Florida Symphony Youth Orchestra, and the Orlando REP Power Chords.

Seminars or workshops

Throughout the event there will be seminars and workshops held by Disney artists, Cast Members, and “guest-perts” share their own tips and tricks for you to learn from. The workshops and seminars range from culinary techniques to other various arts like calligraphy, abstract painting, and animation.

And, don’t forget when you are done checking out all that the Epcot International Festival of the Arts has to offer to enjoy the rest of Epcot as well. If you are planning on going to Epcot during these dates remember that there will most likely be larger crowds, so plan accordingly.
