9 Classic Treats You Need To Try In Disney World!

When you think of Disney World food, what do you think of? Burgers and fries? Cotton Candy? While you might be thinking of those, I’m sure you’re also thinking of a few special treats that are so loved by guests, they’ve become classics! These 9 classic treats are must-dos for your family’s next Disney World trip!

1: Mickey Premium Bar

I’m sure somewhere, somehow, you’ve heard of the Mickey Premium Bar in Disney World. They’re the definition of iconic! You can find these delicious Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars pretty much anywhere in Disney World. These treats are normally priced around $4.99 to $5.39 in the parks, and now, they might even be available in the ice cream section of a store near you!

2: Dole Whip

The classic pineapple Dole Whip first started being sold back in 1986, from Aloha Isle in Adventureland in Magic Kingdom. Eventually, this tasty treat made its way around Disney World, and can now be found in multiple locations, such as Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Of course, this treat can also be found in Disneyland and has become so popular, the Dole Whip even has some merchandise! In select locations, adults can even enjoy an alcoholic version called the Captin’s Pineapple.

3. Mickey Waffle

If you are planning a trip to Walt Disney World, or if you have already gone, then I’m almost positive you’ve heard of the unforgettable Mickey waffle. These treats do not disappoint and are truly delicious. If I were you, I wouldn’t miss the chance to try this on your next Disney World trip. And now, you can get a ton of fun Mickey waffle merchandise, like key chains, phone cases, dog chew toys, and a lot more!

4: Churro

In a lot of Disney World’s guest’s minds, skipping down Main Street USA in Magic Kingdom while holding a churro is a must-do. Unfortunately, most of the time Main Street is too crowded for that kind of thing. But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a delicious churro on your Disney World trip! While churros are much more popular in Disneyland, churros can be found in Walt Disney World, in all different flavors and colors. While the classic is a cinnamon and sugar churro, I’ve seen all sorts of flavors, like Fruity Pebbles, strawberry, and even sour watermelon.

5: Popcorn

One of my all-time favorite snacks, (not only in Disney but everywhere!) is popcorn. I mean, who doesn’t love popcorn? You can find all sorts of popcorn flavors on Disney World property; Butter, Cheddar, Kettlecorn, Caramel, and so, so many more. Since Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge opened in Disney World back in 2019, the Outpost Popcorn at Kat Saka’s Kettle has been very popular. Also, right now buying and collecting Disney popcorn buckets is a big trend, so you can get in on that action if you want to, too.

6: Mickey Rice Krispie Treats

In pretty much every store in Disney World, you can find a Mickey Mouse Rice Krispie Treat. Love ’em or hate ’em, they are truly iconic and adorable. These classic Disney World treats can be found in many colors and sizes, and even come in different shapes for the holidays like Halloween and Christmas. Most of the time, the Rice Krispie Treat is coated in chocolate, but you can find plain ones, too.

7: Turkey Leg

I’m a vegetarian so I won’t eat this, (and the one time I had it years ago, it wasn’t all that good) but a lot of Disney World guests adore the now-classic smoked turkey leg that can be found in some places around Disney World, (And Disneyland) but is most known for its spot at the Turkey Leg Cart in Frontierland in Magic Kingdom. The rest of my family loved it, but you might want to note that it tastes a lot more like ham than turkey.

8: Disney Cupcakes

Kind of like the Rice Krispie Treats, you can find delicious and creative Disney themed cupcakes all around Disney World. These cupcakes will come in all different shapes, colors, and sizes, and are very Instagram worthy. My favorite spot to find adorably themed Disney Cupcakes is at Goofy’s Candy Co in Disney Springs.

9: Mickey Pretzel

These delicious (and iconic!) Mickey head shaped pretzels can be found around Walt Disney World, if you search. While this snack is already tasty, buying a cup of warm cheese sauce to dip it in makes it even better. If you are a fan of the Mickey pretzel after you try it, then you don’t have to look far for some of the adorable Mickey pretzel merchandise!

I’m sure you’ve heard of some of these classic Disney treats, but now I hope I’ve convinced you to give them a try! And of course, Disney never stops delivering delicious new snacks, so who knows what will be a classic treat 10 years from now?
