Our predictions were right! Just a couple days ago we predicted that Disneyland would reopen mid-July, and now Disney has released an official proposed reopening date for Disneyland! In other words… Disneyland is reopening!
Just a few hours ago, Disney officially released the hopeful reopening dates for Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park,(DCA) Downtown Disney, Paradise Pier Hotel, and the Grand Californian Hotel and Spa! Just like Disney Springs in Walt Disney World, Disneyland’s shopping district area, Downtown Disney, will be reopening first. Downtown Disney is expected to reopen on July 9th. The two theme parks in Disneyland, Disneyland Park, and DCA will be reopening next, on July 17th. Lastly, the Paradise Pier Hotel and the Grand Californian Hotel will both be reopening on July 23rd. There is no news on The Disneyland Hotel’s reopening at this time.
Ticket Sales On Pause
On Disneyland’s official website, it says that at the moment, new ticket sales are on hold. This also includes Annual Passholder sales and renewals. There is no news of when they’ll be available again at this moment, but note that all guests getting into Disneyland and Disney California Adventure will need to have reservations.
Activities That Have Been Suspended
The Disneyland website also mentions a couple of things that have been suspended at the moment. All of them, I’ve noticed, are things that Disney World is suspending, too. These activities include nighttime spectaculars, parades, and character meet and greets. There will be other changes too, but this is what the website listed.
In the end, I’m very excited to see the results of Disneyland’s reopening, and everything that changes. I’m also excited that Disneyland is reopening so close to Disney World’s reopening! But anyways, stay safe, and like always, have a magical day!
