Halloween Is Still Being Celebrated In Disney World This Year! Just… Differently

After Disney fans heard the news that Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party was cancelled for this year, we were quite disappointed. No candy handouts, Disney dress up, or late night Halloween parades and fireworks? Well, we might not be getting those things, but Disney is still doing it’s best to celebrate Halloween in Walt Disney World… even during a pandemic.

While there is no party in Magic Kingdom this year, Disney still wants to give us that spooky feel we always love around October! So, Magic Kingdom will be decorated for fall from September 15th to October 31st! That way, even though no one will be able to attend MNSSHP this year, guests will get to not only see the Halloween decorations, but take fun pictures with them!

Wearing Costumes

For the first time ever, Disney World guests of all ages will be allowed to wear Halloween costumes during regular park hours! All guests have to wear masks of course, but guests under the age of 14 can wear masks to go along with their costumes if they’d like. A post on Disney Parks blog stated, “To bring some Halloween party fun into the park this year, for the first time guests of all ages can wear your funniest, Disney-ist, most creative costumes.”

Other Activities

In addition, there will be a new Halloween themed character cavalcade in Magic Kingdom featuring Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and other Disney characters! And like always, new spooky treats and merchandise will release soon!

In The End

We might not have a Halloween party to attend in the Magic Kingdom this year, but Disney is doing their very best to give all of us a fun way to celebrate the spooky season! Anyways, stay safe and stay tuned for more Disney content coming to A Dollop Of Disney!
